The Senior Acquisition and Merger Analyst has a significant role supporting Mergers & Acquisitions activities, including the strategic and financial evaluation of potential and active targets, financial modeling, business case development, and project support for deal activity.
Position Details:
Supports the Corporate Development team across all phases of deal activity - deal sourcing, due diligence and post-close integrationAssists with the strategic evaluation, detailed financial modeling, valuation, and development of buy and sell side M&A business casesSupports the development of evaluation and diligence work plansParticipates in the creation and development of deal documents and management presentationsDevelops and prepares presentations on the results of research and analysis of acquisition targets for use by Senior Management.
Supports the corporate development sourcing process by collaborating across functions to identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunitiesSupports deal pipeline development by researching potential acquisition targets.
Research activities to include target sectors, geographies, and specific companies using primary and secondary source research methodsBachelor's degree requiredMaster's degree preferred2 years of experience in M&A with either an investment back, private equity or corporate development group2 years of experience with financial and business analysis/modeling/forecasting, especially as used in M&A.
Able to build valuation modelsAbility to analyze and interpret financial dataDemonstrates analytical skillsDemonstrates problem solving skillsExcellent interpretation of complex statistical dataAbility to drive multiple projects to successful completionBachelor's degree requiredMaster's degree preferred2 years of experience in M&A with either an investment back, private equity or corporate development group2 years of experience with financial and business analysis/modeling/forecasting, especially as used in M&A.
